Easy to install, perfect fit, great construction and makes the wife happy. note: helps to ensure you measure correctly...These were not use friendly at first. We ordered 3 of these blinds for our living room. We had these installed by our contractors during our renovation. The measurements were a little off so our contractors had to cut a little off of our wall to make these fit on the inside of the window. Love the look of the blinds but it's just so complicated to use with the remote and the manual wasn't much help. We have had the blinds for months now and still can't pair it with our Google home. The manual it came with is not very helpful and we couldn't find a customer service number to call. There are no voice commands list available in the instruction manual (or anywhere online). It took a while to actually figure out how to use the remote with the 3 blinds. There was an option that we discovered BY ACCIDENT that controls all the blinds at the same time. We discovered it after having it for over a month. It took some time to actually get it all to work correctly with the remote. Now if we can just get it to pair with Google home that would be great! After researching various motorized zebra shades, we settled on Graywind and were not disappointed. We replaced a 12 foot wide roller shade with two 6 foot wide Zebra shades, side by side. They look beautiful, move up and down in a coordinated fashion, and work flawlessly with the remote (single remote for both shades) and Alexa. Also, the electric motors eliminated any hassle related to re-charging. I hid the cords with cord covers (splicing together the included cord and the extension cord by cutting off the plugs), and plugged them into a wall outlet near each shade. The cord covers blend in with the window frame and baseboard, so you would never know the cord is there. The only suggestions for improvement are: identify the spacing between each bracket when the shade is wider that 30 inches (Graywind responded within 24 hours to this question and indicated that, for wider shades, the brackets should be 20 inches apart after an initial bracket on each side, 5 inches from the end); and provide the width of the tube at the bottom of the shade (it's roughly 1/2 inch less that the cassette width). All of our measurements were fine in terms of the cassette and shade, but the tube at the bottom of the shade was a bit wider than we expected and would not clear the baseboard entirely. I simply sanded the baseboard where the shade lowered and then re-painted, and that solved the problem. Next time, I would ensure that the measurements I submitted considered the width of the bottom tube in relation to my baseboard. Without question, we would use this manufacturer again if we need additional motorized window treatments. The blinds look nice and it was easy to program onto my phone. I would suggest getting the fabric booklet first so you can be clear as to the actual color of the blinds. We ordered a blue/grey only to find out it was more grey than blue. Tomato, tomahto.Pros-Great value;Easy to install;Motor is fairly quiet.Cons-You will either need an extension cord to plug in, or install an outlet at the top of your window to better hide the cord. I opted for the latter, because I can.***Updating review to 5While I did have issues with the motor squeaking their customer service has been nothing but fantastic. Sending me step by steps to resolve the issue and following up with me. I understand a faulty product every now and then but what they do on the customer service side sets them apart. Wish every company had a customer service group like this.
