I am very happy with the Electric Curtain Tracks. Works smoothly. Seems to have plenty of power. There are two versions of this. The more expensive version has wifi and is opened using a phone app that also connects to alexa. The cheaper version (this one ) comes with an rf remote that has open/close and pause buttons. Since it uses radio frequency you don't have to point the remote like with IR. It can be operated without a remote at all, just give a slight tug and it opens or closes the rest of the way. If you buy a broadlink device (universal RF & IR alexa remote) you can control this one with alexa as well.Also this generic controller is half the price of broadlink, is easier to set up and works just as wellhttps://www.amazon.com/Smart-IR-RF-Universal-Remote/dp/B0BD82LVQ6As other reviews mention, watch the installation video's. You can look over the instructions 1st, get a feel for all of the parts and then watch the video which will clear everything up. It took me a couple hours to assemble (not including installation) but if I was doing it again it would probably only take 30 minutes now that I know how everything goes together. Keep in mind you are making a complete loop with the belt. If double open, it uses two belts with two joints. If single open (as mine was) it uses one belt with one joint. The joint is the pull carrier made up of two roller wheels each attached to one end of the belt using the plastic belt buckle (you use either two or four belt buckles) The belt buckle plugs into one roller wheel and then the two roller wheels are attached together with a bracket after the wheels are placed inside the track to create the loop. There is a plastic measuring strip for cutting the belts to the correct length but that appears to be only accurate when using two belts (double pull) Mine was single pull and that made the belt too long. I had to eyeball it and cut about another inch or so off to make the belt tight. You can put the end on with the belt on the outside of the track and line it up with the center of the carrier (two roller wheels attached together) so you know where to cut it. Where the curtain stops is self adjusting. When it hits the end hard it backs off slightly and then next time it is open or closes it stops right before hitting the end. An intermediate stop position can be programmed. Holding down the pause button for 3 seconds will go to the intermediate position
