I bought it for our living room to help block the heat and we have noticed a difference. I would say it has a medium thickness. It's not sheer when the sun hits it, you can see some light through it but not a lot. I have a cat and dog so I don't know if it's wrinkle free because they're always touching it in some way or another. My only comment was it was a brighter color than I thought, it's a turquoise color.I wasn’t sure if these would actually block out light, but they make my daughters nursery essentially pitch black when the curtains and blinds are closed. They’re beautiful and look great in the room. We have the same brand in navy in my son’s room and they also work wonderfully. I wanted to do an exchange, but was only given two options (1) to replace it with the same exact item (which obviously wouldn't work for me). (2) A refund if I returned it. I rarely ever return anything because it's a hassle. These curtains are very similar in quality to ones I bought in Bed Bath & Beyond, only slightly sheerer, but at a fraction of the cost, you can't beat the value! I'm only sad that I was unable to use them. You won't find a better quality curtain for this price! I paid $100 for two panels at B B &B. Admittedly, they block out light better, but the difference isn't major enough to not make these curtains worth your while. I definitely would recommend them!!
